A Woman

“And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole;

go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.” Mark 5:34.

Jesus heals. During Jesus’ three years of ministry on the earth He healed a multitude of people. He saw the need of a person and gave to them what they needed most; to see, to be cleansed from leprosy, to heal different parts of their bodies, to cast out demons.

There is recorded an event where He did not see a woman and her need but she was healed.

Jesus was on His way to save a twelve year old girl, Jairus’ daughter, who was dying. There was a large crowd around him almost suffocating Him as He traveled. Suddenly Jesus felt His. power flow through Him to someone in the crowd. There was a woman in the crowd who had a flow of blood for twelve years. She had heard the reports of Jesus and His healings. She was not even allowed by law to be out in public but she had faith that even touching Jesus’ garment would restore her to health.

She pressed through the crowd and touched the hem of Jesus’ garment. Immediately she knew she was healed. She was frightened and trembling from being so bold but she was desperate and truly believed Jesus was the Messiah.

Jesus stopped and asked repeatedly, “Who touched me?” The woman was afraid but knowing that He had healed her she answered Him and fell down at…
