Abuse Is Evil

I just read an article about good and evil on Medium. One of its points was that good and evil can be determined differently by different cultures. I believe Child abuse is evil in any culture.
Abuse of children is as old as mankind. Cain abused Abel when he committed the first murder in the Holy Bible.
An abuser can be an authority figure like a mother, a father, a teacher, a religious leader, a policeman or even another child; any man or woman.
Sometimes the abuser and the one abused survives and sometimes one or both do not. Extreme abuse causes death or suicide or a desire for the person to die.
Statistics show an abused child will probably become an abuser themself.
In the book The Kitchen House there is a young man , Marshall, who is abused by his tutor and can not get help from his mother or usually absent father. Marshall grows up to be a cruel man who abuses others. I
In the play, Doubt, abuse is one of the themes. The audience does not learn if the priest in the story is an abuser or just kind to a young boy nor the future of the young student. The play does bring up many questions about child abuse in the 1960's.
