All Is Well

“Everything is all right,” she said. 2 Kings 4:26

I attended a beautiful wedding planned for May in South Carolina. Over a year of planning took place beforehand for this day to be celebrated in a historic site, a place where their union in front of God would be done. Their events were planned for a Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Family and friends flew or drove to the picturesque town of Greenville, SC. For the joyful events.

But it was a rainy wedding day. All did not go well from my observations. You would never have known there were any glitches though by the wedding couple. They persevered and showed no sign of the mishaps that were happening that day. I probably did not see all that went awry that special day.

There were delays because of rain. Wedding guests were moved here and there. The venders of the wine and food had to keep adjusting and quickly reset the drink and food areas.

The couple did get married outside eventually in between rain showers. The temperature was warm so no one noticed the rain on the seats. It would have been a beautiful view where the couple stood taking their vows but the stormy day did not present it as pretty.

On the way down the stone path, which was her aisle, the bride’s veil caught on a rock and came completely off. She did not blink, she paid no attention to her veil that she left…
