Blue, My Favorite Color
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God…In Him was life. and that life was the Light of men. John 1: 1–5
When I think of the word blue many concepts come to my mind. Blue is in the spectrum of light. Water molecules reflect blue out of sunlight to our eyes. The word blue is a color but also an idea. You not only can see blue you can feel blue and even respect authority dressed in blue.
In the Story of Queen Esther the King was dressed in blue apparel to signify his authority and kingship.
When I think of blue I can sense a calmness. It also makes me think of peace and dignity.
God used his color blue mightily in his directions for making His tabernacle and clothing for His priests. Cloths for the tent, embroideries, needlework, all parts of garments, including the ephod were instructed to be in blue.
He also used blue to glorify a lot of His creation. When the astronaunts looked at planet Earth from space they saw a blue marble in space. They saw blue because of the water on our planet. I love to look at a blue sky and a blue ocean. Nothing is more restful to me.
I have heard if you paint a bedroom in blue you will create a calm restful sleep in that room. God created in multicolors but my favorite color is blue.
