Division

We know Satan is a liar. We know Satan is crafty. Do we realize how easily he can put his evil ways in our path? He is a schemer and covers his lies so efficiently that we can buy into his lies without even realizing it. He hates humankind. He hates you and me. But because he is subtle, we often do not see that he takes us down the wrong paths. One of his biggest accomplishments always happens when he uses his deceitful trick of division. He knows divided we fall. United with Christ we are strong. So how can he divide us? One way is that he uses labels to divide us. Name-calling, division, labels are all tools to defeat humankind. Oh, but these traps are so easy for us to fall into. Satan sets these traps, and he is always looking for a way to deceive humankind.
I have fallen into a trap and have been guilty of labeling a group of people and then saying they are evil, and I do not like them. I pray I never think that way again. Whenever we label a group of people, we are no longer looking at individuals to love. Labeling promotes hate, not love. “Those people are different from me therefore they must be punished or stopped, or because of their label, hated.” That thought certainly is not from God.
