Masks, Why?

“Everyone must submit himself to the government authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established.”Romans 13:1

I follow rules even if I do not agree with them. Why?

If the government makes a law I uphold the law as closely as I can. I am not perfect in rule-following but I attempt to always follow the rules made by the authorities over me. Why?

When I was in college and early in my career I was not to wear pants to class or work. Why? But it was easy for me because I like skirts and dresses.

But I did rejoice when I was allowed to wear pants where I pleased. But I seldom on purpose broke a rule. Why?

I like being a member of a society that has rules.

I wonder if that is one of the reasons Jewish traditions hold the ten commandments and the keeping of them, to substitute for the gospel of truth and grace?

Following the ten commandments is like trying to keep all the laws. No one can follow all ten commandments and not break one. But mankind emphasized doing. Why?

God wants us to be a “being” not just a “doing”.

Jesus was the only one that could follow all the rules and not break one. And Jesus put a new light on…
