Sorrow

“I Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me!

Many are saying of me, God will not deliver him. Selah

But you are a shield around me, O Lord, you bestow glory on me and lift up my head. To the Lord, I cry aloud, and he answers me from his holy hill. Selah

I lie down and sleep, I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.

I will not fear the tens of thousands drawn up against me on every side.

Arise, O Lord! Deliver me, O my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked.

From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessings be on your people.” Psalm 3

Psalm 3 is a prayer by David. David in Prayer by Rembrandt van Rijn (1652) From Wikipedia

One of my friends sent me a text today. She said she was exhausted and stressed after putting out one fire after another, dealing with one stressful situation after another. She is dealing with life and death problems, a death of a brother-in-law, dealing with non-life-threatening illnesses, and surgeries on top of family and work problems.

Little did I know my day would be surrounded by what seems like even more problems than my friend had on her plate.

My daughter-in-law had been away and although some problems started before she got home, she has been hit by problem after problem since she arrived home to her farm.
