I am watching a multi-season tv drama featuring stories about the lives of the people Jesus had chosen to follow him. It is biblically-based but does change insignificant details to enhance the story. It has wonderful details that you know are not in the Bible but they add a richness to the drama. It is helping audiences to see the gospel in a new and fresh way. That is their goal to tell the gospel. The actors are all in to show relatable human beings. Scripture is quoted throughout faithfully. The actor who plays Jesus, Jonathan Roumie, is amazing. I could say the same for each character actor. Matthew, Paras Partel, does a wonderful job portraying the tax collector. Shahar Issac is a perfect Simon Peter. Mary Magdalene is played extremely well by a beautiful actress, Elizabeth Tabish. John the Baptist is unforgettable but so are each of the episodes that tell different stories about Jesus through the eyes of those…
