Lu Skerdoo has been using writing prompts in her posts on Medium. She just wrote about one that has me stumped. I usually know exactly what I want to write after I read a writing prompt. It is not a difficult prompt but I am not coming up with just one idea.

What’s the most exciting thing you have ever done? Lu wrote about an escapade she and a friend had in High School.

What’s the most exciting thing I have ever done? I think I have led an exciting life but the most exciting thing eludes me.

Although many ideas continue floating around in my head I think I will write about the time I vacationed on an island with an erupting volcano.

I was going to go on vacation and visit my sister and my brother-in -law. My husband would not fly so he gave me his blessings to go alone.

It was a three thousand mile trip from our home to their home and i had to make several connecting flights. Getting near my destination a friendly airport worker asked me where I was going.

I replied, “Monserrat!” She immediately gave me a look of horror. I was happy to be going to visit family and did not ask…
