Marvelous inventions

I recently watched a huge machine working on my neighbor’s farm. As I watched the large scoops on the front of this machine dig into the ground I thought of how we scoop things up with our hands. Two huge hands are moving earth next door.

I believe all machines have been invented or developed using God’s designs. God made our marvelous bodies and our ability to observe and use nature. He created our body’s design to make our work and our lives easier and more joyful.

Was fire “invented” when man observed a lightning strike? Was the wheel “invented” when man observed a piece of fruit roll? Was the simple machine called a lever invented modeled after our arms and how they work with the elbow as a fulcrum?

Can all designs of inventions be traced back to nature and our marvelous bodies? The backhoe next door certainly made me think of gigantic hands digging into the ground! I believe through observation and God’s guidance all…
